Add some umami goodness to your life! We love our miso and can’t go a day without adding miso to whatever we’re eating. Miso is such a versatile condiment, it adds umami oomph to broths, stir fries, roasting veggies, whipped into butter (you can spread on sourdough toast) or heighten the flavours of caramel sauce and chocolate ganache.
Along with miso, we’d love to share with you one of life’s tastiest & easiest marinades, shio koji. Shio Koji has the amazing ability to tenderise even the toughest cut of meat, make quick veggie pickles and can be used as a delicious replacement to salt.
This is a hands-on miso workshop which means that you will have a chance to up close and personal with these fermented goodies. Get messy with us as we explore the techniques of miso making. You’ll e able to pound to your heart delight as we roll miso balls and craft your very own jar of miso & shio koji.
Enjoy a light meal of pickled cucumbers, pickled ginger slices, miso butter bbq corn cobs, kimchi, steamed rice & miso broth.
