Get together with some other avid fermenters for a unique, funky and flavoursome Fermented Bevies Masterclass. Learn to make gut-loving bubble tea with kombucha or Jun and flavoured with collagen-rich kefir jellies, aloe vera, shrubs (fermented cordials), oxymels (herbal honey extracts) and boba pearls. We demonstrate how to make your very own tapioca pearls, kefir jelly and even kombucha popping pearls and pair these with mylky, matcha, and summer fruity ferment bases. We will also show you how to craft fermented shrubs, oxymels and tonics to add to everyday summer beverages or to use as potent home healing endeavours.

Cost includes: all ingredients, recipes, cultures, instruction and sampling of many different kinds of beverages.

About Your Hosts

Our Gutsy workshops are specialised, where you get to go deep and learn about specific ferments or get your hands messy and bring home a jar of your work. These workshops are limited to small class sizes and are designed to allow you experience the joy of crafting your ferments under the guidance of experienced fermenters. They are facilitated by Wei’er Higgs and Dr Sarah Lantz, authors of Forage, Ferment, Feast: Tales of Food and Family, with Recipes for Restoring Gut Health, Connection, Healing and Wholeness. Wei’er is the Director of Gutsy Fermentery and Sarah is a clinical nutritionist and Gutsy Fermenter.
