- Prep Time: 15 Mins
- Cooking Time: 45 Mins
Ingredients
- 1 3/4 cup buckwheat groats
- 1/4 cup chia seeds
- 1/4 cup ghee
or coconut oil
- 1 1/2 tsp baking powder
- 1/4 tsp sea salt
- 1 tsp crushed and fried garlic
Instructions
Step 1
Soak buckwheat groats in cold water for 2 hours until softened.
Step 2
Soak chia seeds in half a cup of cold water until they become gel like. (I soak with the buckwheat groats just to save time, it doesn't matter if the chia seeds are soaking for longer.)
Step 3
Preheat oven to 160 degrees Celsius.
Step 4
Rinse and drain buckwheat well in a colander.
Step 5
Transfer buckwheat and chia seeds into a food processer with 1/2 a cup of water, ghee, baking powder, garlic and salt. Blend until combined.
Step 6
Spread out on a baking paper lined pizza pan.
Step 7
Bake for 50 minutes or until base is firm to the touch.
